Team Americano padel is a format where you keep the same partner all evening and the whole schedule is drawn before the first serve, so every pair meets every other pair exactly once. Points are counted per ball as in a normal Americano, and both players in a pair bank the pair's score.

How is Team Americano padel different from an Americano?
A normal Americano switches your partner every round and scores you as an individual. Team Americano keeps the pair together for the whole evening and scores the pair. Everything else is the same, including the part people actually recognise: each match is played for a fixed number of points, so a 24-point match might end 16–8, and both numbers land on the table.
That makes it the format for a night where people sign up as pairs. Club couples, a mixed doubles evening, or anyone who says "we came together, we want to play together".

Team Americano or Team Mexicano?
Both keep the pairs fixed, and the difference is one thing: when the schedule is decided. Team Mexicano lets the standings pick the next round, so the matches tighten as the evening goes on but nobody knows the running order in advance. Team Americano draws everything up front, so you can read it out at the briefing and people can plan their evening around it.

How many matches does a Team Americano have?
The number of matches is pairs × (pairs − 1) ÷ 2. The schedule is the circle method run over the pairs: pair one stays put and the rest rotate one step per round, which gets every pair against every other exactly once. With an odd number of pairs, one pair sits out each round, and the method spreads that evenly on its own.

If you have fewer courts than matches in a round, the round is split across several rounds rather than dropping the leftover matches, so every pair still meets every other. At 24 points a round takes about 15 minutes, so 16 players on four courts are done in about 1 hour 45, and on two courts in about 3 hours 30.
