Common questions.
Is PadelLoop free?
Yes. Everything built so far is free while PadelLoop is in early access: Americano, Mexicano, Mixicano, Team Mexicano, Tournament, King/Queen of the Court, Monrad and Team Americano, with fair rotation and live standings. The Pro and Club plans cover features that are still being built, and nothing is locked behind them today. You do not need an account to run a tournament. You can create one if you want your tournaments saved so you can pick them up on another device.
Do I need to download an app?
No. PadelLoop runs in a web browser, so you open a link and start. There is nothing to install, on your phone or on the players' phones. An account is optional as well: you can run a whole tournament without one, and sign in only if you want the night saved to your account.
Which padel formats can I run?
Eight today: Americano, Mexicano, Mixicano, Team Mexicano, Tournament, King/Queen of the Court, Monrad and Team Americano. Americano, Mexicano and Mixicano rotate your partner every round and score you as an individual, so you play with a spread of the group. Team Mexicano, Tournament, King/Queen of the Court, Monrad and Team Americano keep pairs together: the round robin has every team play every other team, Monrad is the Swiss system that ranks the field in a few rounds without knocking anyone out, and King/Queen of the Court moves winning pairs up a ladder of courts. Cup / knockout, Groups → playoff, Multi-class and Beat the Box are shown as coming and are not selectable yet.
How many players and courts do I need?
Four players per court, and PadelLoop handles up to 12 courts. Players go on court in blocks of four, so if your number is not a multiple of four then some people sit out each round, and the rotation spreads those rests evenly. The fixed-pair formats want an even number: Team Mexicano, Tournament, King/Queen of the Court, Monrad and Team Americano all refuse to start on an odd count, and the round robin leaves an odd last player out of the teams.
Can players follow the standings on their own phones?
Yes, in the social formats: Americano, Mexicano, Mixicano, Team Mexicano and Team Americano. You share one link, and anyone who opens it sees the live table update as you enter scores, with no install and no login. You can also put the standings on a TV in the hall with the big screen view. Tournament, King/Queen of the Court and Monrad do not have the share link or the big screen, so their table stays on the organizer's own screen.
